AOP represented at OPERA America 2009 Conference

The opera moguls and mavens who will descend on Houston next month for the OPERA America Conference 2009 will be treated to a healthy portion of AOP in the event's New Works Sampler series. The organization's annual showcase will feature selections from two upcoming premieres that originally developed at American Opera Projects:

According to OPERA America's news release...

Students from the University of Houston’s Moores School of Music and Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music will present samples in a cabaret-style setting on Wednesday, April 29, 2009, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Light snacks and a cash bar will be available during the performance.
