Brooklyn Cultural District Tours Kick-off

Ready to time travel? Join AOP and FAB Fulton ART 360° on May 8th at 11am at Betty Carter Park for a FREE concert and FREE preview of the Brooklyn Cultural District Tour app! We’ll kick things off together, with helpers nearby to assist you on your self-guided journey.

Following in the footsteps of AOP’s popular Brooklyn Cultural District Tours and presented in partnership with FAB Fulton’s ART 360°/ Fort Greene, take a tour of Fort Greene from your very own personalized tour guide–your phone. Using the PocketSights app, Fort Greene resident and local historian Ron Janoff will lead you through the neighborhood’s past and present, from the late 1800s to the thriving BAM Cultural District of today, and all the area favorites in between. Complementing your trip down memory lane will be historical images as well as songs inspired by each location, sung by contralto Nicole Mitchell.
