Pittsburgh Opera’s second episode of Pull Back the Curtain livestreams at 4pm this Thursday!

Hosted by Pittsburgh Opera Artistic Administrator Rob Boldin, this week's episode will explore how three modern operas have engaged with relevant and timely social issues.

Rob will be joined by composer Laura Kaminsky, mezzo-soprano Leah Heater, baritone Ben Taylor, and composer Dan Sonenberg for a lively discussion on these cutting edge Pittsburgh premieres and the topics they each confronted: As One (the transgender experience), The Long Walk (PTSD), The Summer King (racism). This episode will also include a special appearance by Sean Gibson, Josh Gibson's great-grandson.
